Since 2017, the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) has been an active participant in the Erasmus+ Programme, contributing to the modernization and internationalization of higher education in Kyrgyzstan.
Over the years, IHSM has successfully taken part in numerous Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects, serving both as a committed project partner and as a project coordinator. Through these initiatives, the university has strengthened its academic and research capacities, modernized curricula, enhanced quality assurance systems, expanded international partnerships, and introduced innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Erasmus+ projects have also enabled IHSM to establish modern educational and research infrastructure, create new institutional support services, foster staff development, and promote student-centered education aligned with European standards. The university’s growing international network has opened new opportunities for collaboration, mobility, and knowledge exchange with leading higher education institutions across Europe and Central Asia. Today, IHSM is recognized as one of the leading Erasmus+ institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic, demonstrating excellence in project implementation and sustainable impact. The university’s achievements have been acknowledged by the National Erasmus+ Office in the Kyrgyz Republic for its outstanding contribution to the successful implementation and promotion of Erasmus+ projects.
