On April 7, 2026, the conference “Study in Francophone Countries” was held at Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn as part of the Spring of Francophonie. The event was jointly organized by Campus France Kyrgyzstan, Alliance Française Bishkek, and the National Erasmus+ Office in the Kyrgyz Republic, bringing together efforts to promote international education and academic mobility opportunities among young people.
The conference gathered students, academic staff, and all those interested in pursuing education abroad. Participants received comprehensive information on study opportunities in Francophone countries, admission requirements, available scholarships, and international exchange programmes.
Representatives of the National Erasmus+ Office in the Kyrgyz Republic delivered a detailed presentation on the Erasmus+ Programme, highlighting key actions such as international credit mobility and Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees. They provided guidance on eligibility criteria, application procedures, and shared practical tips on preparing strong applications. Special emphasis was placed on the benefits of participation, including academic and professional development, international exposure, and intercultural exchange.
A dedicated session focused on study opportunities in France. A representative of Alliance Française Bishkek presented an overview of the French higher education system, including types of institutions, study programmes available for international students, scholarship opportunities, and admission procedures. Participants also learned about language requirements, preparatory pathways, and adaptation to a new academic environment.
The conference was held in an interactive format, with participants actively engaging in discussions, asking questions, and receiving detailed answers from the speakers. The high level of interest demonstrated the growing motivation among young people to explore international academic opportunities.
Such events contribute to raising awareness about global education programmes, strengthening academic cooperation, and fostering closer ties between higher education institutions in Kyrgyzstan and abroad.
The National Erasmus+ Office in the Kyrgyz Republic expresses its sincere gratitude to Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn for their support and warm hospitality, as well as to its partners – Campus France Kyrgyzstan and Alliance Française Bishkek – for their valuable cooperation in organizing the event.
