On February 27-28, 2019 the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan organized Technical Assistant Mission on title: Development and management of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for HEIs in Kyrgyzstan.
The main aim of the seminar was to improve the quality of Higher Education through the development and using of massive open online courses (MOOK) in modern education, management and development of masters, doctoral programs, research.
A massive open online course (MOOC) is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web. MOOCs foster open-access features, such as open licensing of content, structure and learning goals, to promote the reuse and remixing of resources. MOOCs provide an affordable alternative to formal education and offer a flexible learning mechanism for people who can afford attending traditional face-to-face classes.
Dr. Sergio Lujan Mora, EU expert, professor of the Alicante University (Spain) shared the best practices of leading European universities on this field.
During the two-day training, the participants familiarized with practical tools for the development, design of the MOOC and its use in teaching, as well as the techniques of creating education video which can be further used for online student learning.
