On 24th of April 2018 the conference on title “Education for the digital future” took place at the IMPERIAL Congress-hall.

The main aim of the conference discussing the challenges to the education system due to the increasing processes of digitalization of production and services, changes in qualifications and employment patterns, as well as changes in the technological processes of education.

The welcoming speeches were delivered by Mr. K. Kodjobekov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the KR and Dr. Thomas Kunze, Regional Authorized Representative of the Foundation.

The digitalization is played an important role on rapid technological, economical development. This is having a direct impact on education system, on professional skills of people, as well as change in educational technologies, access to educational resources, the increasing role of retraining. Labor market needs people, who able live and work effectively in the digital environment.

The Rector of ADAM University and member of HERE team of Kyrgyzstan, Ms. S. Sirmbard delivered a report on mega-trends in e-learning.

The panel discussions took place during the conference. The key areas of discussion were:

– Modification of employment patterns;
– new qualifications, flexible work patterns, new types of jobs;
– How key competencies are changing: increasing demands not only on digital skills, but on creativity, critical thinking, and skills in the field of mathematical sciences.
