On 20th of February 2017 at 15:00 took place the Opening Ceremony of Crealab-KEU in framework of Erasmus+ Programme – EUCA-INVEST.
The event was participated by Ms. Chokusheva Gulnara – National Coordinator of Erasmus+ Programme in Kyrgyzstan, prof. Paulo Afonso and prof. Fernando Barbosa from university of Minho (Portugal), Ms.Elvira Sagyntai kyzy – Head of the Science and International Relations Department, Ms. Aktalina Torogeldieva – Head of IRO Department of University of Economy and Enterprises, Mr. Nurlan Atabaev – Dean of Economy and Business Administration Faculty, Aizada Bakytbekova – Programme manager of EdNet, staff and students of KEU. Besides, local business mentors have been invited to the ceremony: Talant Toktaliev, CEO of «Travelshop» and Rasul Tuleev, Head of “Jaratman Innovation” public fund.
The general objective of EUCA-INVEST project is to enhance entrepreneurial culture and creativity within HEI in Georgia and Kyrgyzstan and to strengthen the role of HEIs as an active stakeholder that contributes to the socio-economic development of society by fostering cooperation enterprise-university at both academic and industry level.
The newly launched CreaLab KEU at the Kyrgyz Economic University will enable students to realize their entrepreneurial potential and startup ideas during the educational process with the help of researchers and European entrepreneur universities who are willing to share their best practices and knowledge in startup-business. Thus, KEU and partner universities will make a significant contribution to the development of the entrepreneurship in the future, provide employment of Kyrgyz youth and enhance the competitiveness of graduates in the global labor market.
