On October 29, 2025, a working meeting of higher education reform experts was held with the Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation and the National Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme in the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, participants focused on several main topics:

Planned Research on the Quality of STEM Education. Experts reviewed the methodology and objectives of upcoming research aimed at assessing the level of student preparation in pedagogical universities across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Tools for data collection and indicators to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs were also discussed.

Mechanism for Issuing Social Credits to Students. Special attention was given to developing mechanisms for providing financial support to students to access higher education. Participants discussed selection criteria, conditions for receiving support, and possible forms of assistance to improve the accessibility of higher education in Kyrgyzstan.

Creation of a Platform or Registry of Researchers Working on Topics Related to Kyrgyzstan. To coordinate scientific research and promote knowledge exchange, the creation of a unified platform was proposed. This platform would bring together researchers conducting studies related to the Kyrgyz Republic, helping to systematize knowledge, increase transparency of projects, and strengthen cooperation between scientific institutions and universities.
Participants highlighted the importance of collaborative work on higher education reform, experience sharing, and the implementation of modern practices that contribute to improving the quality of education and strengthening the country’s research capacity.
