A meeting of representatives of partner universities participating in the Project LMPT “Professional Bachelor in open and distance learning for the development of sustainable tourism in China, Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan” was finished in Lyon, France. The event was held and funded by the Erasmus + program.

Kyrgyzstan was represented by delegates from KEU, ISU and Adam / BFEA University. The meeting was attended by the representatives from China and Vietnam Universities as well.

The main goal of the project is promoting the reform and modernization the higher education institutions in partner countries.

In addition, the objectives in partner countries are:

-Reducing gaps and improving the skills of the middle and senior elements in production (tourism organizations) by enhancement the employment of students

– Increase the professionalism of training programs in accordance with the Bologna process and the European Qualification Framework (EQF) and their joint organization with companies.

– Creation of professional bachelor’s and master’s degrees, which will accessible to distance learning for sustainable tourism development and long-term training programs.

During the meeting the partners made presentations about their universities and discussed about the condition of training of specialists in the tourism area.

Important and interesting part of the meeting was a discussion about the problems and opportunities within the project.

In addition, the grant holder (SOUTH-WEST UNIVERSITY “NEOFIT RILSKI”) and the project coordinator (GIP FIPAG, France) explained in detail about the solution of the project’s financial issues, which were accompanied by short training on of the project tasks’ implementation.
