On February 8, 2022, the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan, jointly with the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, organized an information session on the Jean Monnet component.
The Jean Monnet component aims to increase knowledge of European integration processes through teaching, research and debate on topics related to the history, politics, economy and legislation of the European Union, as well as the EU’s relations with other regions of the world. The main objective of the component is to bring a European dimension to higher education systems.
Dr. Iryna Sikorska, National Expert on Higher Education Reform of Ukraine, gave an opening speech, described the main objectives of the component and her experience in its implementation. Dr. Oksana Krayevska and Dr. Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva, professors at the Ivan Franko Lviv National University, made a presentation on the implementation of the Jean Monnet component at their university. The information session was attended by more than 50 representatives of higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan. Participants had the opportunity to ask their questions and receive clarifications regarding the budget, content, technical and other aspects.
