On March 25 and 27, representatives from the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan (NEO KG) and Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) participated in a virtual study visit on “Institutional Approaches and Strategies for Greening.”

The event kicked off with welcoming remarks by Michael Gaebel, SPHERE Team Leader, alongside insights from Prof. Ursula Kilkelly, Vice President for Global Engagement at University College Cork (UCC), Cliona Maher, International Officer at UCC, and Adrian Veale, Policy Officer at the European Commission, DG EAC.

The study visit showcased University College Cork’s innovative and comprehensive approach to sustainability, with a focus on its Green Campus strategy. Participants explored how sustainability principles are seamlessly integrated into UCC’s institutional mission, operations, and educational practices, serving as a model for universities worldwide.

This engaging exchange provided valuable insights into UCC’s commitment to creating a greener future and fostering sustainable development within higher education.
