On October 30, 2025, a training on project writing for Erasmus+ CBHE and Jean Monnet actions was held at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. The event aimed to enhance participants’ practical skills in developing high-quality project proposals under both components of the Erasmus+ programme.

The training included a series of interactive sprint sessions, each focusing on a specific element of project development. During the first session, participants worked on an Idea Card exercise, identifying key problems, objectives, and potential partners.

In Sprint 1, participants explored the structure of CBHE proposals, learning about different strands, consortium requirements, and the logical framework linking problems, objectives, work packages, and budgets. The second sprint focused on designing work packages and indicators, where participants developed drafts of two key WPs, outlining activities, KPIs, and risk ownership.

During Sprint 3, attendees created a rough budget, learning how to distribute partner contributions and identify potential financial “red flags.” After a short break, the group moved on to Sprint 4, which introduced the Jean Monnet actions.

Head of the International Department of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, shared her experience in implementing a Jean Monnet Module project, providing a detailed overview of the step-by-step process “from A to Z” within the programme, which supports the development of teaching and research on European integration.

Participants selected a Module, Chair, or Centre format and prepared a one-page concept note defining the audience, learning outcomes, and a three-year implementation plan.

Sprint 5 addressed issues of visibility, sustainability, and synergies between CBHE and Jean Monnet projects, helping participants develop a mini dissemination and sustainability plan. The final Sprint 6, titled “FTOP Without Panic,” guided participants through the Erasmus+ submission platform, focusing on roles, consistency across sections, annexes, and deadlines.

The event concluded with a Proposal Clinic and Pitches, where teams presented their project concepts in short three-minute sessions and received targeted feedback based on key evaluation criteria: Relevance, Quality, Partnership, and Impact.

By the end of the training, participants had developed preliminary project frameworks, logical models, and submission roadmaps, gaining valuable experience to strengthen future Erasmus+ applications from Kyrgyz universities.
