Study tour to the University of Central Asia

On July 12, 2021, the NEO staff and the Higher Education Reform Experts team in Kyrgyzstan visited the Campus of the University of Central Asia in Naryn. Visiting the UCA campus was of great interest to the guests as it is the only university throughout Central Asia, one of the main objectives of which is to develop mountain regions through the provision of higher education that meets recognized international standards. As a center of excellence and promoting ideas and innovation, UCA strives to contribute to the development of economies in transition by offering state-of-the-art education and research programs. Nowadays, the UCA is the first higher education institution in the Central Asian region to join the world-renowned online community SSRN (Social Science Research Network) dedicated to the dissemination of scientific research.
Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi, Rector of the University of Central Asia, Dr. Soheil Ashrafi, Senior Lecturer in Communication and Media, Dr. Myrza Karimov, Head of Cooperative Education, School of Arts and Sciences made informative presentations about the study programmes, student and research support programmes offered by the UCA and organized a tour on the University Campus to show the campus facilities. Besides, the visitors had the opportunity to discuss with their peers the university management system, the university education quality system, process monitoring, advanced training policy, the graduate employment system, quality assurance mechanism, research conditions, student life on campus, etc.
