Today, on January 16, 2023, the Winter School: “How to write and publish an article in a journal indexed in the Scopus database 2023”.

The workshop program focuses on the practice of writing a research article, and its subsequent publication in a Scopus-indexed journal. The workshop will provide participants with the key concepts of research methodology, and the basic research process in various areas, including research article structure, research design (experimental and non-experimental), sampling methods, research proposal, data collection and analysis. Participants will acquire the basic knowledge and skills necessary to understand the research process and conduct quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods research and the process of preparing a manuscript for publication. Participants will also practice data analysis using Stata and SPSS software, and present their research proposals. Guest speakers with extensive research experience and publications in international journals will be invited.
 
Target audience: doctoral students, young researchers, teachers of universities with special status.

The objectives of the workshop consist of 3 stages: 
Stage 1: Conducting a workshop/training on quantitative and qualitative research methods.
Expected outcome of this activity: Writing and presentation of research proposals in small groups on the profile of specialization. Research proposals should be sent to mentors/managers by the end of February, 2023.
 
Stage 2: Presentations of research proposals (online format permissible), discussions with appropriate suggestions and feedback. March, 2023. Rationale for theoretical framework, data collection (including questionnaire design or experiment preparation) and analysis. Mentors/managers provide necessary assistance and monitor each participant’s work. March-June, 2023.
 
Stage 3: Writing research papers based on each participant’s own research. Online or offline discussions during the writing process and with other mentors are possible. July-November, 2023.

The training takes place from January 16 to 20, 2023 on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and with the support of the National Erasmus+ Office, based at the Kyrgyz-Korean Information Access Center, at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.
