The Summer School on “How To Write And Publish A Research Article In A Scopus Indexed Journal” came to a successful completion on July 14. The four-day event, held from July 11 to July 14, as a joint event of the Ministry of education and science, National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan and Development Centre “Ala – Too”, aimed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge in writing and publishing research articles in Scopus indexed journals.
The Minister of Education and Science in Kyrgyz Republic – Imanaliev Kanybek delivered an opening speech and officially inaugurated the event.
The training have been conducted by Dr. Urmat Tynaliev from the University of Minnesota, USA, and Dr. Kadyrbek Sultakeev from Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany. The program provided a comprehensive understanding of research methodology and the key components of the research process.
The summer school was attended by 26 participants – representatives of 16 higher education institutions from different regions of Kyrgyzstan. More women dominated the number of participants: 16 women and 10 men.
Participants had the opportunity to explore various aspects of research article writing, including the structure of the manuscript, research design (experimental and non-experimental), sampling methods, data collection, and analysis. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, attendees gained valuable insights and acquired the necessary skills to conduct research using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods. In addition to focusing on the research process, the seminar also emphasized the importance of manuscript preparation for publication. Participants received guidance on preparing high-quality manuscripts that meet the standards of Scopus indexed journals.
