Within the frame of the ERASMUS + DERECKA project, the summer school “The development of PhD studies and research potential of Kyrgyzstan” was launched on August 9, 2021.
The objectives of the summer school were: the training university administrators of the Kyrgyz Republic on PhD programs, improving their administrative and managerial competencies and increasing the research potential of PhD students. The summer school takes place in Issyk-Kul.
The summer school brought together 65 representatives from the State Technical University named after Razzakov, Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture named after Isanov, the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Dikambaev, Osh State University, Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after Skryabin, International Higher School of Medicine and International University of Kyrgyzstan, among them are professors, scientific leaders, managers of universities.
Lecturers are the leading professors of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany), University Brunel London (UK) and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania)
The summer school was opened by Prof. Asylbek A. Aydaraliev, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Academic Consortium “International University of Kyrgyzstan” with a welcoming speech, noting the importance and promotion of PhD programs in the Kyrgyz Republic, which he began to implement back in the 1990s. The next, Dr. Karlygash K. Toguzbaeva, Professor of the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, stressing that the PhD system in the countries of Central Asia is developing successfully, shared the experience of her Kazakh colleagues. Dr. Kenesh Dzhusupov, the coordinator of the DERECKA project, spoke welcoming the participants of the summer school, introduced the respondents to the school program and lecturers.
