On 28 May 2024, the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan organized a stakeholder meeting on “Strengthening Project Management in Erasmus+ CBHE Projects” at Osh State University. The event brought together 27 participants from higher education institutions, civil society organisations, and the private sector representing the Osh, Batken, and Djalal-Abad regions.
The aim of the meeting was to improve understanding of Erasmus+ CBHE management frameworks, enhance intersectoral cooperation, and support quality implementation of EU-funded education projects in Kyrgyzstan. Participants engaged in practical discussions on project coordination, financial and administrative procedures, risk mitigation, and sustainability.
Sessions included expert presentations by Gulnara Isaeva (NEO Kyrgyzstan), Roman Kalmatov (Osh State University), and Venera Omuralieva (DEFA project). A dynamic panel discussion featured representatives from universities, NGOs, and the private sector sharing experiences in cross-sector cooperation within CBHE initiatives.
The meeting concluded with recommendations for future collaboration, including joint training workshops and a regional support network for Erasmus+ project stakeholders in southern Kyrgyzstan. Participants emphasized the value of such meetings for building institutional capacity and ensuring effective project outcomes.
