As part of the reform in pedagogical education, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, in cooperation with the Erasmus+ National Office in Kyrgyzstan, is holding a seminar on the topic: “Content of State Educational Standards in Vocational Education and Modern Labor Market Requirements.” This event aims to enhance the pedagogical literacy of the academic staff in higher education institutions and improve the quality of teacher training to prepare competitive professionals.

The seminar will be held in a hybrid format at J. Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University, gathering over 100 participants, including vice-rectors for academic affairs, heads of educational-methodological units, deans of pedagogical faculties, heads of pedagogical departments, and all interested teaching staff. The event is open to all who wish to participate, allowing a broad range of professionals from the education sector to engage.

Pedagogical education plays a crucial role in shaping the country’s future, as the quality of education directly depends on the competencies of educators. In the face of constantly changing labor market demands, it is especially important that educational standards reflect the current needs of society and the economy. This seminar provides an opportunity for participants to discuss modern approaches to developing educational standards, learn best practices, and receive recommendations for adapting teacher training programs to meet labor market demands.

The seminar will allow participants to enhance their knowledge of modern educational standards, laying the foundation for developing and implementing improved teacher training programs. The seminar’s outcomes are expected to contribute to formulating recommendations for further changes in the country’s education system, focusing on labor market needs. This, in turn, will enable graduates of pedagogical programs to be better prepared and more in-demand in the professional sphere, positively impacting the overall education level in Kyrgyzstan.
