The Second Forum of Rectors of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan was held on 16 July 2024 in Samarkand, based on the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road”. The event was held under the theme “Features of development of higher education and science in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic at the present stage”.
The Forum brought together leading representatives of the academic community of the two countries, including ministers of education, rectors, vice-rectors, and other dignitaries. During the plenary session, participants discussed key areas of cooperation, innovative strategies, and prospects for the development of higher education in the context of international integration.
Two experts on higher education reform, Chynybaev Myrlan Koichubekovich Chynybaev, Rector of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, and Svetlana Rustamovna Sirmbard, Rector of ADAM University, moderated and spoke respectively.
