On 13th of April the round table on the topic: “Actual Issues of Higher Education in Biomedical Engineering and Informatics in Health Care in the Kyrgyz Republic” was held in the Erasmus+ «Advancing University Education in Biomedical Engineering and Health Management in Kyrgyzstan” (KyrMEDU) project’s boundaries. It was held on the basis of the KSTU, named after I. Razzakov, and organized by the department of Mechanics and Industrial Engineering of the University.
The purpose of the round table was to improve employment opportunities of graduates through strengthening the interaction between universities, employers and interested organizations, and by creation and modification of the curricula.
During the discussions, participants noted the effectiveness of the activities of KyrMedu and marked the importance of developing training programs in the field of “Informatics in Healthcare” and “Biomedical Engineering”.
Representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as participants of the KyrMedu project and universities of the Kyrgyz Republic with medical organizations for medical equipment repair and supply – all took an active part in the event.
