Bridging Environmental Concerns, Societal Needs, and Good Governance in Central Asian Education and Employment Sectors (ESGCA)

Objectives:
- This project aims to implement the two –year ESG Master Program in 10 HEI’s in five countries of Central Asia.
- To prepare qualified specialists in effective management of environmental and social aspects, and governance.
- To introduce ESG principles in universities, the business community and public administration.
Activities:
- Three European universities will help to create a sustainable platform that brings together educational institutions, civil servants and enterprises for effective management of environmental and social aspects, the creation of green jobs, and the training of qualified professionals.
Outcomes:
Creation of the International Network between partners will allow the universities to become the platform that will unite the efforts of the academia, business and government to promote research and innovation, and development of new policies in the field. This convergence will not only facilitate the effective management of environmental and social aspects but will also serve as a breeding ground for the creation of green jobs. Moreover, the cultivation of highly skilled professionals poised for the demands of the modern labor market. The expected multiplying effect from the implementation of the project target directly 72 teachers, on on-line sessions 100 teachers, and university’s management.

Objectives:
GDCAU contributes to All objectives of the call through 4 strategic objectives:
• Strengthen capacity among participating universities to build and implement strategies reflecting GD agenda
• Help to train specialists with good understanding and skills in the field of environmental sustainability
• Strengthen cooperation between universities and business to support companies in implementation of GD agenda
• Improve the cooperation between the universities and strengthen their social impact by creating inter-institutional Green Deal Centre for Evidence-based Education, Research, Innovation and Public Outreach (GDCentre)
Activities:
These objectives will be achieved through the following activities:
- knowledge accumulation and exchange;
- joint curriculum development;
- staff training;
- digital and physical mobility;
- consulting for companies;
- communication and events, strategic planning, enterprise-based training,
- joint review of programmes and strategies,
- skills testing
Outcomes:
Expected results: active role of Central Asia universities in promoting Green Deal agenda, improved and new educational programmes, updated strategies and managerial practices; platform for international knowledge accumulation and dissemination in area of Green Deal; growing partnerships between universities and companies.
