On July 26, 2021, the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan jointly with the Erasmus Mundus Students and Alumni Association (EMA) in Eurasia organized an online Pre-departure Orientation meeting with scholarship holders. The event was attended by 12 participants.
The purpose of the event was to provide informational support in preparation for studies and to congratulate the Erasmus+ Joint Master Degree scholarship winners in 2021.
The National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan introduced the fellows with the general conditions, opportunities, and features of the Erasmus+ program as well as presented comparative statistics by years. Participants received first-hand information about studying abroad from graduates and participants of the program of previous years and learned about the activities of the Erasmus Mundus Students and Alumni Association (EMA). The EMA representatives, Ms. Meerim Karybayeva and Ms.Bermet Koshoeva shared their experience of studying in Europe from professional, personal, and practical points of view. During the meeting, the attendees discussed practical issues related to travel and installation in European countries (visa-related matters, finding housing, health insurance, etc) taking into the consideration the global Pandemic.
This year based on the results of selection 15 students from Kyrgyzstan became the Erasmus + Joint Master’s Degrees scholarship holders out of 69 students who submitted applications for scholarship.
