On May 25th 2018, the opening ceremony of the interdepartmental educational biomedical laboratory, established within the Erasmus+ project “Advancing University Education in Biomedical Engineering and Health Management in Kyrgyzstan (KyrMedu)”, was held at the basis of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.
The biomedical laboratory fitted with modern medical equipment will provide an opportunity for internship, practice and advanced training for students, teachers, researchers and employees of medical institutions, and help drive advances in contribution of research work with international partner universities of KyrMedu.
The project’s overall aim is to assist interested parties in the use and management of equipment in addition to its acquisition. The aim will be achieved through the development of curricula in medical informatics and biomedical engineering with the participation of Kyrgyz partner universities.
The managers (leaders) of the related ministries, medical society, representative of the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan and representatives of all partner-universities took a part at the opening ceremony.
