On 24 February 2026, a large-scale online seminar dedicated to Erasmus+ opportunities was successfully held, bringing together a wide audience of students from universities across the Kyrgyz Republic. The event aimed to raise awareness about international study opportunities and provide comprehensive information on participation in Erasmus+ programmes at different study levels.

At the beginning of the seminar, the National Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme in Kyrgyzstan presented the opportunities for academic mobility within the Erasmus+ programme, with a particular focus on exchange opportunities for Bachelor’s degree students. The presentation highlighted short-term mobility options, inter-institutional cooperation, eligibility criteria, and the main steps students need to follow in order to participate in exchange programmes.

Following this, a representative of the National Erasmus+ Office in the Kyrgyz Republic delivered a detailed presentation on Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees. The session covered key aspects such as eligibility requirements, application procedures, scholarship opportunities, participating countries and universities, as well as practical guidance on preparing a competitive application.

Special attention was given to the benefits of studying within an international consortium, including academic mobility across several countries, intercultural experience, joint or multiple degrees, and enhanced career prospects. Students were also informed about funding opportunities, application timelines, and useful resources for prospective applicants.

The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, during which participants actively engaged with the speakers, asking numerous questions about admission requirements, language certificates, document preparation, and the selection process. Students received detailed and practical answers, helping to clarify common concerns and better understand the steps needed to apply successfully.

The strong interest demonstrated by participants reflects the growing motivation among young people in Kyrgyzstan to pursue international education and broaden their academic and professional horizons. The National Erasmus+ Office remains committed to supporting students by providing accurate information and guidance on accessing Erasmus+ opportunities.
