In order to promote the potential of regional universities and foster international academic cooperation, the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan in collaboration with Naryn State University named after S. Naamatova has released a video dedicated to the university’s participation in the Tempus project (2012–2015) and the Erasmus+ Programme.

The video highlights the significant role that the Tempus project—funded by the European Union—played in modernizing education at the university, developing international partnerships, and enhancing faculty capacity. Tempus served as a major milestone in NSU’s efforts to integrate into the European Higher Education Area.

🎯 Key achievements of the Tempus project at NSU:

Development and implementation of updated curricula in fields such as banking, veterinary medicine, and environmental sciences, aligned with regional labor market needs and international academic standards;

Professional development of faculty members through international training and knowledge exchange;

Establishment of strong academic partnerships with universities across Europe and Central Asia.

🌍 Since the completion of Tempus, Naryn State University has made efforts to participate in new Erasmus+ initiatives, including academic mobility, capacity building in higher education, and international cooperation projects. However, the number of Erasmus+ projects implemented so far remains limited. Despite this, the university continues to actively seek opportunities and partnerships under the Erasmus+ programme to expand its international presence.

🎥 The video, co-produced with the National Erasmus+ Office, reflects the tangible results of EU-funded projects and underscores the importance of supporting regional universities in accessing international programmes.

📌 The Tempus and Erasmus+ projects laid a strong foundation for NSU’s institutional development and future contributions to international education.
