The Final Collegium of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic was held on February 13, 2019.

The main aim of the meeting was consideration of the outcomes of activities carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018 and plans, tasks for 2019. Welcoming speech was made by Ms. Altynai Omurbekova, Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic. The main report on the activities as well as results of refrom in pre-school, secondary school, higher education and science was delivered by the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Gulmira Kudaiberdieva.

The Collegium presented the results of the work of the education system for 2018. Among the major events of the past year, the most significant event was the preparation for PISA.

The decision of the Collegium was summarized with identification the main tasks for the future. According to plan for 2019, the activities of the Ministry will be aimed to improve the quality of education, trainings in the specialized areas and capacity-building to complement the needs and demands of the local, regional labour markets and introducing digital projects of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with the Roadmap for implementing the Digital Transformation Concept “Digital Kyrgyzstan 2019-2023”.

The pleasant moment of the meeting was the awarding of winners and participants of international competitions, school principals, the best teachers and coaches.
 
The meeting was participated by the staff of the Ministry of Education and Science, the National Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme, the directors education departments and the rector of universities of Kyrgyzstan.
