On October 9, 2024, the Erasmus+ Information Day, organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan, was held at the Orion Hotel. The event focused on the Capacity Building in Higher Education initiative (Strand 1).

The event’s main goal was to introduce participants to the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ program and the application processes, especially for new participants and remote universities. The event covered key aspects of the program, including participation criteria, successful project examples, and the potential benefits for educational institutions.

The keynote speaker was María-Sol Domínguez Parrado, Erasmus+ Project Manager (EACEA, Brussels, Belgium), who gave a detailed overview of the goals and objectives of Strand 1, as well as how participation in the program can contribute to the development of higher education institutions.

More than 80 university staff members from across Kyrgyzstan participated offline and online. Attendees received valuable insights and practical guidance on the application process and were able to establish connections for future collaborations.
