On 24 May 2024, the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan hosted a capacity-building seminar titled “Inclusion and Flexible Learning in Higher Education Institutions of Kyrgyzstan” at Naryn State University. The event brought together over 40 representatives from regional universities, including academic faculty, programme developers, and education policymakers.
The seminar aimed to explore inclusive education strategies and flexible learning pathways that address the diverse needs of students in Kyrgyzstan’s higher education system. Mr. Amangeldi Zhumadilov, a prominent expert in education reform, delivered insights into international and national best practices for inclusive pedagogy.
The interactive programme included case studies, group work sessions, and collaborative discussions on how to adapt university programmes to ensure accessibility and responsiveness to student diversity. Participants engaged in hands-on group exercises, proposing concrete steps to embed flexibility and equity into institutional curricula and student support mechanisms.
This initiative forms part of the broader efforts of the Erasmus+ Programme to strengthen inclusive and student-centered approaches in higher education, in line with European Higher Education Area (EHEA) values.
