The history of the country and cultural heritage will undoubtedly have an impact on upbringing of the younger generation with a strong civic position, with sustainable views and intentions in the well-being of their country.
It was discussed at a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic A.T. Abdraeva with researchers in education and history. The discussion was attended by Dr.Duishon Shamatov, Professor of Nazarbayev University, Mr. Daniyar Karabayev, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences of AUCA, Ms. Rebecca Ramsay, researcher- historian from UCA and Ms. Gulzada Duishebaeva, member of the national team of experts on higher education reform in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The participants noted that for the development of science and the contribution of science to the sustainable development of the country, it is necessary to educate and strengthen the spiritual and moral values ​​of youth, preserve and use the spiritual heritage, the oral history of the Kyrgyz people, increase the potential of scientific personnel in universities, improve the quality of research in accordance with international standards, update the programs of scientific schools and institutes, use modern technologies and research methods, develop standards of research ethics, and conduct summer or winter schools for novice researchers.

Constructive dialogue and exchange of information took place on the ongoing projects of the participants on the development of oral history as a modern research method. Much attention was paid to the creation, documentation and archiving of oral historical sources (interviewing contemporaries of that era), the formation of digital oral archives. Recommendations were proposed for the implementation of measures for the interpretation and introduction of oral historical sources into scientific circulation, for holding seminars and forums, and for preparing scientific publications.

The meeting participants are confident that efforts to preserve and use the oral heritage, oral history and renewal of educational programs in educational institutions will help raise a generation with a patriotic mindset, with a clear civic position and intention to contribute to the development of their country.
