The National Erasmus + Office in Kyrgyzstan organized a visiting seminar of experts on the reform of higher education in Kyrgyzstan with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, which took place on October 22-24, 2020 at the Osh State University.
The main aim of the seminar was to discuss the methodology for modernizing state educational standards.
The workshop consisted of three sessions.
In the first session, experts and representatives of southern region’s universities discussed the concept of adapting education to the digital generation, the organizational structure of the national qualification system: a new philosophy in the education system of the Kyrgyz Republic and foreign countries, as well as the development of education exports in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The second session was organized only for the national experts on higher education reform. Ms. Rahat Bekboeva conducted an internal training on the topic “The role of state educational standards and professional standards in the formation of new modern skills among graduates of higher professional education.”
The third session was devoted to agreeing the general competencies of the state component of State educational standard of higher professional education with national qualifications framework, common approaches to unification of SES HPE projects, taking into account the requirements of professional standards, topics and learning outcomes of educational and methodological association members on self-assessment of SES HPE projects in order to improve projects of OS HPE.
During the three-day training, members of the team of national experts on HE reform: Ms. Sabyrkul Kalygulova and Mr. Talant Asan uulu conducted trainings for students and teaching staff on the topic “Distance technologies in organizing student teaching practice” and “Development of an internal system for ensuring the quality of university education” for employees of universities in the southern region.
