Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts Seminar “Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training in the Erasmus+ Partner Countries neighbouring the EU: Partnership for socio-economic development” held at Istanbul University (Turkey) 10-11 March 2015. This seminar was organized by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) under the support of the European Commission.

The main purpose of the seminar was to reflect and to discuss the Role of Higher education and Vocational Education and Training in socio-economic development of the countries. There were discussed the issues of cooperation between HE and VET, understanding of importance of VET, defining the main issues of VET sector and support of the education reforms.

The first day of the seminar was started with a plenary session and key note speeches. On key note speeches there were presented the main challenges and trends in VET in the EU and in the Partner Countries and partnering possibilities with Higher Education.

Second day of the seminar started with plenary session, where main challenges and trends in VET in Central Asia and in Eastern Europe presented.

The seminar was attended by 150 participants from 27 countries.

From Kyrgyzstan, the seminar were attended by the National Coordinator of the Erasmus + program in Kyrgyzstan, Ms. Chokusheva GR,and  as well as members of the national team of experts: Adamkulova Ch.U., Sirmbard S.R., Bekboeva R.R.
The event was an excellent platform for sharing experience and knowledge with colleagues with different experiences.
