On October 21, 2024, H.E. Marilyn Josefson, Ambassador and Head of the European Union Delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic, visited the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) as part of the university’s Ambassador Talks series.
A key focus of the event was the Erasmus+ scholarship programme, which offers Kyrgyz students opportunities to pursue master’s degrees at leading universities across Europe. Ambassador Josefson emphasized the program’s role in strengthening academic exchange and shared inspiring success stories of Kyrgyz students who have benefited from it.
In addition to introducing the EU’s work in areas like education, digitalization, and sustainable development, the Ambassador engaged students in a lively Q&A, offering career advice and insights into diplomacy. Her visit underscored the EU’s ongoing commitment to supporting youth, education, and international dialogue in Kyrgyzstan.
