From 21 to 23 January 2025, the University of Genoa (Italy) is hosting the kick-off meeting of the international project ESGCA — “Addressing Environmental Challenges, Societal Needs, and Effective Governance in Education and Employment in Central Asia.”

The project brings together leading organizations and universities from Kyrgyzstan, including:

  • Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic 

  • Issyk-Kul State University (ISU)

  • Public Foundation “European Documentation Centre”

  • Capacity Building Consulting Group

Partners also include universities from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Romania, and Slovakia.

The ESGCA project aims to promote sustainable education and to strengthen cooperation between Central Asian and European countries in responding to global challenges. Through joint efforts, the project will address critical environmental and societal issues while fostering innovation and effective governance in higher education and employment sectors across the region.
