On 21 November 2024, the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan hosted the Erasmus+ Impact Day at Osh Technological University, bringing together more than 100 participants from across the country to exchange experiences, strengthen regional cooperation, and highlight successful outcomes from Erasmus+ projects.
The event focused on project results in key areas such as biomedical engineering, university financial autonomy, digitalisation, and inclusion. Presentations from KyrMedu and DEFA showcased how Erasmus+ has supported innovation in academic programmes and improved university governance structures.
Representatives from Issyk-Kul State University and Talas State University shared insights into their experiences implementing Erasmus+ in regional contexts, emphasizing the importance of tailored approaches and institutional support for sustainable impact.
Participants took part in peer-learning sessions designed to connect experienced universities with newcomers, supporting mentoring in proposal development, inclusion strategies, and project sustainability. The roundtable discussion gathered regional feedback on future Erasmus+ priorities, highlighting needs such as digital education tools, equitable access to mobility, and context-sensitive adaptation of project models.
