The National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan held a consultation meeting today, on July 18, 2025, with representatives of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University to support the launch and effective implementation of their new Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project.

This session brought together university staff and the Erasmus+ team to review the initial steps for implementation, clarify administrative and financial procedures, and strengthen understanding of the grant agreement conditions. It marks an important milestone in reinforcing higher education development in Kyrgyzstan through international cooperation.

Objectives of the Meeting:

  • Ensure a shared understanding of Erasmus+ rules, timelines, and deliverables

  • Provide guidance on the preparation and signing of grant agreements

  • Clarify reporting, visibility, and financial management requirements

  • Support capacity development for effective project coordination

During the meeting, the National Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme in Kyrgyzstan, presented key implementation procedures, including the preparation of partnership agreements, internal coordination mechanisms, procurement processes, and monitoring requirements. Special attention was given to the financial management of EU funds, as well as visibility and dissemination obligations under the Erasmus+ programme.

University representatives had the opportunity to raise questions, discuss institutional strategies for project execution, and receive tailored advice on administrative and reporting tools. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of mutual support between the National Erasmus+ Office and the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, with a shared commitment to enhancing the quality, internationalization, and modernization of higher education in Kyrgyzstan.
