On 5 February 2026, the National Erasmus+ Office in the Kyrgyz Republic conducted an online consultation for representatives of the Medical Center of Osh State University (OshSU), focused on the process of obtaining a PIC number (Participant Identification Code), which is a mandatory requirement for participation in European Union programmes, including Erasmus+.

During the consultation, experts from the National Erasmus+ Office provided detailed guidance on the registration procedure in the EU Funding & Tenders Portal, outlining the key steps for obtaining a PIC number, as well as the legal and financial documentation required. Particular attention was given to common challenges encountered during the registration process and practical recommendations on how to avoid them.

Participants were also informed about opportunities for medical and clinical institutions within the Erasmus+ Programme, with a specific focus on the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) action. The discussion highlighted the potential involvement of the Medical Center of Osh State University in international projects aimed at strengthening medical education, enhancing staff capacities, modernising training and clinical practices, and expanding international academic and professional cooperation.

The consultation was held in an interactive format, allowing participants to raise practical questions related to the next steps following PIC registration, possible roles of the medical center in Erasmus+ projects, and the integration of project outcomes into the university’s institutional development.

The meeting took place in a constructive and productive atmosphere and represented an important step towards increasing the international engagement of the Medical Center of Osh State University.
