On January 9, the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan held a consultation for representatives of the NGO European Documentation Centre regarding participation in the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) strand of the Erasmus+ Programme.
The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for non-governmental organizations to become partners in international Erasmus+ projects. Particular attention was given to how NGOs can contribute to the development of educational initiatives through collaboration with universities, support for innovation, delivery of training, and the creation of sustainable partnerships.
The National Erasmus+ Office emphasized that NGOs have a unique opportunity to support the Programme’s objectives, including strengthening ties between academia and civil society.
The consultation enhanced understanding of the strategic role that non-governmental organizations can play in Erasmus+ CBHE projects. Representatives of the European Documentation Centre gained clearer insights into partnership opportunities, contribution areas, and the added value NGOs bring to international higher education cooperation.
The National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan reaffirmed its commitment to supporting NGOs in their engagement with Erasmus+, encouraging stronger links between academia and civil society and contributing to inclusive, innovative, and sustainable development in higher education.
