On January 17, 2025, The National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan conducted a consultation for faculty and staff of Kyrgyz National University (KNU) named after Jusup Balasagyn on the development and submission of project proposals under the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) strand of the Erasmus+ Programme.

The meeting took place on the university campus and brought together professors from various faculties. During the session, participants explored key elements of successful proposal preparation, programme requirements, and best practices in project management. Particular attention was given to designing relevant and innovative projects that align with the priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme and the evolving needs of higher education in Kyrgyzstan.

The consultation contributed to strengthening participants’ understanding of the Erasmus+ CBHE framework and enhanced their capacity to prepare competitive and well-structured project proposals. The active engagement of faculty members from different departments fostered interdisciplinary dialogue and supported the generation of relevant project ideas responding to current challenges in higher education.

The National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan reaffirmed its commitment to continued cooperation with Kyrgyz National University and its readiness to provide further guidance, supporting the university’s active participation in Erasmus+ initiatives and its integration into the European Higher Education Area.
