The European Commission has launched a call for ideas and projects that use trusted AI technologies for the public good. The application window is 28 July – 22 September 2025.

Healthcare: AI to improve diagnosis of breast and prostate cancer using EU data without transferring confidential information.

Energy: AI for more flexible, resilient energy systems and integration of renewables under constrained resources.

Crisis recovery: digital twins for damage assessment, modelling timelines and budgets for reconstruction, and progress monitoring, with a focus on transparency and anti-fraud.
This initiative is part of the EU’s broader strategy to promote ethical, socially responsible AI that delivers real benefits to society within Europe and beyond.
