On 8thDecember 2016 at the ADAM University/Bishkek Academy of Finance and Economics was organized seminar on the topic “Promoting quality assurance: self-assessment as a tool for the efficient development of higher educational institution“in the framework of the ERASMUS + project European Dimension in Qualifications for the Tourist Sector (EurDiQ).
The wider objective of seminar is information exchange between participants on topical issues of development quality assurance of education and a role of self-assessment, discussion of the best practice of self-assessment of educational organizations (on the example of higher education institutions of United Kingdom).
The invited expert in the field of quality assurance in higher education, professor from London-Metropolitan University (London, United Kingdom), Mr. Gray Patrick David, and during his presentation it was discussed about need of carrying out a self-assessment for higher education institution for the quality assurance provided by higher education institution of education, having noted at the same time that today, in the conditions of high level competition in educational system, in particular the higher education, quality assurance of education becomes an objective necessity in activities of higher educational institution. It was also noted that the special role in criteria of quality assurance of education is occupied by employment of graduates, and importance of qualifications’unification in the globalization conditions.
