Titled \u201cChallenges in Higher Education in Kyrgyzstan: Issues and Policy Implications,\u201d the article was initiated by the National Erasmus+ Office and prepared with the participation of experts from leading universities and educational institutions across the country.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The publication provides a comprehensive analysis of major systemic issues, including fragmented governance, limited university autonomy, financial constraints, declining quality of education, underdeveloped research and innovation, and regional inequalities in access.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The authors offer several strategic recommendations to improve the higher education sector. These include the development of a national strategy for higher education through 2030, enhancing academic and financial autonomy for universities, updating curricula in line with modern labor market demands, supporting research and innovation, expanding access for disadvantaged groups, and strengthening academic integrity and quality assurance mechanisms.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
