Following the dynamic two-day conference \u201cStrengthening University Collaboration Between Europe and Central Asia\u201d (April 23\u201324, 2025), representatives from 20 higher education institutions (HEIs) across Kyrgyzstan gathered for a follow-up session to reflect on outcomes and chart implementation steps.<\/p>\n
This follow-up meeting focused on the practical next steps for putting into action the draft resolution developed jointly by participants during the conference.<\/p>\n
A key outcome of the follow-up meeting was the development of a concrete implementation plan adapted to the Kyrgyz context. This plan sets out the first practical steps to mainstream the principles of the resolution into institutional strategies and national priorities.<\/p>\n
Specific actions include:<\/p>\n
Establishing institutional working groups focused on internationalization;<\/p>\n
Identifying opportunities for joint degree programmes and micro-credits;<\/p>\n
Building capacity for quality assurance and digital learning tools;<\/p>\n
Participating in pilot initiatives and expanding participation in Erasmus+;<\/p>\n
Strengthening coordination with national education authorities and regional partners.<\/p>\n
Participants outlined the importance of aligning these actions with both national higher education strategies and international standards, including the Bologna Process and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n
This national dialogue served as both a reflection and a launching pad \u2013 translating the conference vision into tangible goals.<\/p>\n
