UNESCO is\u00a0pleased to announce the launch of the\u00a0call for applications and nominations\u00a0for the\u00a0UNESCO International Literacy Prizes\u00a02023.<\/p>\n

Since 1967,\u00a0UNESCO International Literacy Prizes\u00a0have rewarded excellence and innovation in the field of literacy. More than 500 projects and programmes undertaken by governments, non-governmental organizations and individuals around the world have been awarded these prestigious Prizes, through which UNESCO seeks to support effective literacy practices and encourages the promotion of dynamic literate societies.
\nThe theme for this year is\u00a0‘Promoting literacy for a world in transition: Building the foundation for peaceful and sustainable societies’.<\/p>\n

All applications will go through a nomination process by the\u00a0National Commissions for UNESCO\u00a0or an\u00a0NGO maintaining official relations with UNESCO. The applicant can request the access to the online application form through the following link:\u00a0https:\/\/unes.co\/ilp-account<\/a>.<\/p>\n
