Of the 180 countries eligible, 128 are present (32 of the 33 Programme Countries, and 96 of the 147 eligible Partner Countries) in the applications and all regions (in terms of financial instruments) are covered.<\/p>\n<p>Out of a total number of 833 applications received, 756 were eligible applications and <strong>77 were found to be ineligible<\/strong> (9.2% from the total number of applications, which is an improvement compared to 11% in 2016). The main reasons for rejection was the non-respect of the partnership composition rules (e.g. lack of compliance with the requirement for minimum number of higher education institutions or the Ministry of Education in the Partner Country was not included in applications for Structural Projects).<\/p>\n<p>The Evaluation Committee recommended a total of 149 applications for EU funding, of which, 134 proposals are Joint Projects and 15 Structural Projects. This represents a success rate of 20% of the eligible applications (c.f. 22.5% in 2016).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Kyrgyzstan had submitted 32 proposals<\/strong><\/span>, and after evaluation process 2 projects have been selected for funding. These projects are:<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">585382-EPP-1- 2017-1-SEEPPKA2- CBHE-JP \u201cEnvironmental protection in Central Asia: disaster risk management with spatial methods\u201d<\/span><\/strong> with participation of I.Arabaev Kyrgyz State University and Osh State University.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">585967-EPP-1- 2017-1-DEEPPKA2- CBHE-JP \u201cDevelopment of a Bologna based Master curriculum in resource efficient production logistics\u201d<\/span><\/strong> with participation of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.Skryabin and Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I.Razzakov.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In total, 833 proposals were submitted (13% more compared to 2016) within the 2017 Call for Proposals.
