box-sizing: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif; max-width: 850px; font-size: 17px;\">Erasmus+ provides the opportunity for organisations from eligible Partner Countries, mainly higher education institutions (HEIs), to promote cooperation through actions that:<\/p><ul style=\"font-style: normal; box-sizing: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif; margin-top: 1.176471rem; margin-bottom: 1.764706rem; margin-left: 1.764706rem; max-width: 800px; padding-inline-start: 0.882353rem; font-size: 17px;\"><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 2.352941rem; text-align: left;\">improve the quality of higher education and its alignment with labour market needs,<\/li><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 2.352941rem; text-align: left;\">improve the level of skills in HEIs through new education programmes,<\/li><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 2.352941rem; text-align: left;\">strengthen the capacity of management, governance, and innovation, as well as internationalisation,<\/li><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 2.352941rem; text-align: left;\">build the capacity of national authorities to modernise their own higher education systems, and<\/li><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 2.352941rem; text-align: left;\">foster regional integration and cooperation across different regions of the world.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-style: normal; box-sizing: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif; max-width: 850px; font-size: 17px;\">Capacity building projects typically focus on one of three main activities:<\/p><ul style=\"font-style: normal; box-sizing: inherit; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif; margin-top: 1.176471rem; margin-bottom: 1.764706rem; margin-left: 1.764706rem; max-width: 800px; padding-inline-start: 0.882353rem; font-size: 17px;\"><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 2.352941rem; text-align: left;\">curriculum development activities<\/li><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 2.352941rem; text-align: left;\">modernisation of governance and management of HEIs and systems<\/li><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 2.352941rem; text-align: left;\">strengthening of relations between higher education and the wider economic and social environment<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-style: normal; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 2.352941rem; text-align: left;\">\u00a0Strand 1:\u00a0<span style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">Fostering access to cooperation in higher education<\/span>, which are designed to cater for newcomers to the programme, less involved countries\/regions, and for disadvantaged targeted groups (i.e. through modernisation of management\/administrative capacity, increase of the accessibility of students\/staff with fewer opportunities, etc.<\/li><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit;
