This objective wil be achieved tuning existing doctoral studies, developing new MSc programs and implementing blended learning approach. The project will enhance the quality &amp; relevance of higher education across European and Central Asian regions and India<br \/>\nin the public health areas and improve their capacity for sustainable international cooperation, thus<br \/>\ncollaborating at the creating a long lasting excellence international network, to continue its activities after the end of the project period.<\/p>\n<p><b>Specific objectives:<\/b><br \/>\n&#8211; To foster professional competences of teachers in distinctive areas of Environmental &amp; Occupational Health and Public Health;<br \/>\n&#8211; To revise &amp; update existing MSc &amp; PhD curricula in EH, OH &amp; PH<br \/>\n&#8211; To develop new MSc in EH, OH &amp; PH tailored to local needs;<br \/>\n&#8211; To introduce new pedagogical methods &amp; quality assurance mechanism for Master studies;<br \/>\n&#8211; To establish educationallaboratories at PC universities for graduate students;<br \/>\n&#8211; To establish e-learning systems at partner countries universities to support regular students, correspondence students as well as professionals in life-long learning.<\/p>\n<p>The revised and newly introduced MSc &amp; PhD programs will strenghen educational &amp; research capacity of health systems in partner countries.<br \/>\nIt will become a base for preparation of skilled &amp; knowledgable public health specialists for health care systems in PCs.<br \/>\nEstablished e-labs at Universities with Managed Learning Environment system and introduced b-learning in teaching &amp; learning will improve students&#8217; thinking skills, problem solving abilities, and collaborative development of knowledge. Furthermore the traditional flow of students toward English-speaking countries, such as the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia, is changing. Not only EHEA is becoming attractive but other regions, as the Asia-Pacific region, have seen a sharp increase in the flow and exchange of students within the region\u2019s boundaries and the development of several education hubs.<br \/>\nThis kind of mobility, strongly supported by European policies, knew a strong acceleration thanks to the Erasmus Mundus Programme, especially Action 2, that was transferring to Countries which just started to apply the Bologna principles, all the problems connected with recognition of credits and grades.<\/p>\n<p><b>The main aim of the project proposal<\/b> is to provide tools and procedures in support of student mobility not only between PC and EU but also between PC and PC across different regions.<br \/>\nEven though also in other regions of the world, the principle of the EHEA to shift from a teacher-centred to a learner-centred approach in designing and delivering courses is increasingly acknowledged for the transparency and readability of the educational process, the concrete application of ECTS encounters difficulties.<br \/>\nMobile students have the right to fair treatment and to transparency of their grades when credits are<br \/>\ntransferred from one institution to another, since access to further studies, grants or other benefits may<br \/>\ndepend on their level of performance, that is equally important for graduates applying for a job in their own or in another country.<br \/>\nCredit allocation, grading systems and marking criteria vary among different education systems, but also between institutions from the same system. Thus it is difficult if not impossible to accurately convert grades from one system to another. Consequently, in the majority of cases, credit recognition and grade conversions are made directly by the admitting institution. The project, on the base of previous and ongoing cooperation and mobility projects with the partners, provides a concrete and reliable example of compatibility and comparability of credits and grades in some pilot degree courses previously developed by the partners within TEMPUS programme. The HEI will agree on the ECTS allocated to the Modules of the identified degree courses and, to ensure transparent and coherent information on the performance of the individual student, will provide &#8211; in addition to their national\/institutional grading scale and an explanation of it &#8211; a statistical distribution table of the passing grades awarded in the selected fields of study (Grade Distribution Table) showing how the grading scale is actually used in that programme.
